Such a coward!

It has been a few times that I see him at the fitness club, on Thursday (running on the treadmill or at the assisted-muscle-building section) and on Saturday in the muscle-building room (when I go to the Body Pump class that is just next to it).

Last Thursday, I was working on a back-muscle machine - and during each little breaks between each series, I chill, I look around - I looked in the lateral mirror and I saw him on the treadmill and thought "oohh he is here!!!" mrgreen and kept turning over and looking in the mirror, again and again.

-I know nothing about him but he looks fiiine, is tall, dresses well (at least to train, hey, it counts, some dudes dress badly at the fitness club) and... is sportive! lol One of my "must be" criteria wink -

When I changed machine, I looked towards the treadmills but, he was gone! Such short time again! So I thought, "you should go and talk to him some day"... yeah right! Like if I was the kind of girl to do that. Never happened! Too shy redface But hey, what could happen if I wait for something... to happen.

I talked about the cute-guy-from-the-fitness-club to a friend and she said "Go and talk to him!". Easy to say, I am not the kind of person to make first move with someone I don't know, even on dating sites, I never send emails because I never know what to write neutral

So yesterday evening I thought about what I could say to approach him, thought about some lame sentences and then thought, the guy is going to wonder where I come from, who I am, what I want from him, and what could I possibly say to a stranger running on a treadmill to start the conversation and risk to disturb him but also get a "not interested" answer straight away.

I finally decided to take a piece of paper, write my cellphone number, name and a lame sentence such as "to maybe go and have a drink...". OMG, I was so laughing once I wrote that, I have NO IDEA what to say, what to do, so next time I see him I am going to (try to) give him the magic note and say something like "I am lame at doing this" and see what happens.

Then I thought, when what if he accepts and he finally turns out to be a jerk... eek damn...
Anyway, first, I will see if I even dare to do any first step.

There is another guy (hey, I have been single for almost a year and need a man to move one! twisted), he is one of the receptionists, good looking too. I was working on other muscle-building machines and saw him walk by to the emergency exit wearing a moto jacket and moto boots (a moto rider?! biggrin another "must be" criteria lol) and saw him come back after a few minutes (smelling cigarette, a "must not be criteria"). Then, one of the coaches walked by the same exit wearing a moto jacket and a helmet and coming back few minutes later also, so I thought, hey, here is an excuse to make first step and talk to the receptionist saying something about a secret moto parking spot or anything related to moto (female moto riders generally interest guys and especially riders wink), then I don't know, but, at least, it would be a way to start a conversation.

So when I was leaving, I arrived at the counter, they were four men talking (including the two moto riders). I said my name with a nice smile, he did not hear with the loud music and people shouting, so I repeated it, and he handed me my member card in exchange of the towel with a nice smile, I said "thanks, have a nice weekend" and... I walked out. Such a coward! Next chance is Tuesday (if any of them is there).

It was a year ago

Last weekend, my mind was all about him. Fortunately, I had a busy wedding weekend and it went well.

but last night, for the second time within a few days, I dreamed about him and again, it was a getting-back-together oriented dream... like if I needed this.

My mind and my heart is still upside down, I still have not succeeded to forget him and about our short but so nice time together last year and so, indeed, it was a year ago that we met. I was worried about that moment to come but it has come.

I have not have any news or contact since he came to my place last September, he was all "yes, let's keep in touch, keep me posted about your new job" (I was a buyer assistant at that moment), etc. But nothing happened and he totally stopped any contacts with me. I do not know if he is still dating his girl and what is new about him and am dying to have news about him. I am still in touch with a friend and colleague of him but have not seen him since D. broke up with me because I had understood he was not against dating me and it scared me but now, curiosity is too big and I am thinking about asking J. to have a drink some time just to have subtly news about D.

Each time I wake up from these dreams, I am overwhelmed and sad and scared and nostalgic... For the past months, I said that I needed time to get over D. and be ready for a new relationship but each time I am thinking about a new man in my life I cannot help it but think that he will not be enough D. like, I am so pitiful and sad and scared and nostalgic... I have let my profile on the two dating Websites I used to be one but I rarely go there, I wait for emails and delete them instantly because guys are not interesting (and not D. enough), when I run a research ones in a while, I can even find a guy to who send an email within about a hundred of them.

So I wait for a normal encounter but most of my friends are married, in a relationship and friends of my friends are also in relationships, have set up house with their partner, etc. I do not make new encounters at work where there are only women, the fitness club? well people are, as I am, focused on their training and I would be too shy to go and talk to a handsome guy not know if he is available or what, I do not go out because I am out of money and my friends are all busy with their family, partner or anything else, so elsewhere? well, where?

I stopped believing there are free nice guys out there for me anymore, it is too late. And to make it all easier, I am a so selective person and I have become even more careful about guys. Something weird happened at my friend's wedding last Saturday, I met the partner of a University pal, a kind girl I know from University but do not hang out with, I had never seen him before, guess what is name was, D.... and he was kind of looking a little like him and I could not stop looking at him all the evening, what a sad girl...

In some way, I still think about him but also wish I could have a new man in my life to go on and have a life that means something, I miss all the couple things, even the simplest ones, I miss tenderness, I miss love.

February feed back

It is already March!

I was thinking that, as always, time goes by fast and two months have already passed since the beginning of 2009!

I have so many expectations this year, let us see where I am now.

*I started a new part-time job and I really like it, the environment, the colleagues, the fact that it is 5min away by foot, it is not my dream job but so far it is okay. The woman in charge of the shop offered me to switch my part-time contract on a full-time one and become her assistant. As I have said before, I am preparing myself for some tests for a job I dream to be able to do in a few weeks. If I succeed these tests next month - medical tests, sport, psychotechnic, motivation, etc. it lasts 3 days - I will not enter the training next May but next September, so it lets me five months to work and take some vacation till then and I don't know if I want to stay at Kookaï and switch to part-time of course or find another job, since I have not found one for the last 2 years!

I really got to think about it!

*In order to be able to pass the tests for my dream job next month, I kept going to the fitness club because I love it but last month I started a more intense rythme and a coach there created me a personnalized program. More muscle-building exercises and a specific running /cardio exercise - I hate running. I have to keep on that track until next month and if I pass (I will... I will!), I will be able to slow it down a little.

* Along with the sport thing, I need to keep on the good track about food. I can be easily week on sweet things, eat between meals (crackers, biscuits, a bowl of cereals, etc.), so I need to get rid of this for now (very very hard) and eat more proteines (egg, soft white cheese, lentils, bananas) but also ananas to burn bad calories and rapid sugar before and after sport to help muscles to work well and not weaken them and thus avoid possible injuries.

*Now that I know that I will be in Paris until, at least, end of August, I will continue the decoration of my apartlent. I had made a break last November because I wanted to be sure I would stay here for some time so that it would be worth it (painting, putting shelves, etc.). I will not spend a lot of money on that but I have been already bored with wall walls everywhere, I need some color and more decoration.

* I want to keep cooking, going to the movies, go out more with my friends for a drink or something (depends on money), go to bed earlier than I used to (it has been years since I am used to go to bed around midnight) and take time to read all my books (bought the next Twilight's saga novels in English), take advantage of the upcoming nice weekends and finally go for walks in the neighborhood and discover all the parks, woods and towns I don't know around here. I miss being in a relationship, but I got to thinking, I think I would not even have time for another person, when I don't work, I go to the fitness club or want to have time for myself, to cook, take care of the apartment, go out on my own or with my friends... I will see where I am at in a few weeks when it gets less busy in my life.

Happy 14th February!

One of my fellow bloggers was noticing that it was her first Valentine's Day as a single person.

Getting older, I have been caring less and less about that celebration. Who should care?

I think that, since I have been dating, twelve years ago, I have only been in a couple the three years I was dating that Greek guy from University. And we did not want to do anything special on that day because we thought it was kind of lame. For me, 14th of February is just one of my nieces' birthday.

But, you can't not be aware of Valentine's Day, it is in lingerie, jewelry, clothes shop windows. But also on traveling Websites and many other kind of on line shops, in magazines, beauty institutes, even fitness clubs - "Get a discount if you come and join us with your spouse" and what if I am single, I don't get the discount??...

No offense for the ones who like Valentine's Day but it is kind of a crappy-commercial-and-marketing-only feast. If, when you are in love, you wait for that special day to offer a gift to your loved one, be nice, go out, buy flowers, dress well and tell your love... what a pity and what a waste. One should celebrate love every day or at least, when one wants Everyday little attentions are so much nicer and unexpected!

Creating a day for lovers is also kind of selfish, it is like if there was the day of rich or handsome people. Well, sorry, but if you are poor or ugly, you don't get to celebrating. You will say, so Mothers and Fathers day is also stupid? Well, if we go in that direction, yes, can you imagine the pain of every woman who dream to become a mom and cannot be one on Mothers Day...

So, yes, go one and celebrate love with all the lovers on earth, nothing is wrong about that, but what is the deep meaning of such special days? Buy, spend money... marketing goal. Be master of your life!

This weekend, I am at my mom's, in my former town, her and her partner are out for dinner for Valentine's Day. She bought me sushi because she knows I like them, they are just in shaped heart plastic box... *sight*

2009, année du neuf!

Hey blog people!

Long time no see!
Last summer, I needed to take a break from the blogsophere cause many (not nice) things happenned in my life and it was too much to handle my blog and my inspiration most of all...

More than once, I wanted to write again but the inspiration (and motivation?) was still not there, I also thought that my fellow friend bloggers would have forgotten me. I hope not cause I'm definitely back on the Web! biggrin

It's getting late and I'm getting up "early" (for a Saturday off work) so I won't stay long tonight.

Here are some news about the past 6 months:

JULY
- D. changd his mind about me moving in with him
- Thus, I had to find a place to live in 3 weeks! (because my parents' appartment had been sold already)
- D. suddenly broke up with me
- I worked as a temp secretary for 2 weeks while I was looking for an appartment and didn't like the job at all
-I visited 7 appartments in 2 weeks and finally found one nice (what a record!), not near where I lived for 26 years because I was still dating D. when I signed the papers, so now I live in the city next to where lives D. (how nice...)

AUGUST
- Moved my stuff into the new place with my dad and my former neighbors and lived at my mom and her partener's place for a month for practical reasons
- Got a permanent job in a fashion firm as an assistant buyer
- Worked at the new job for a week before my vacation
- "Had" to go in vacation to the south of France by myself because I still had the train tickets I had bought for me and D. for our vacation (actually lost money because I obviously didn't use all the train booked tickets), but finally had a great week an a half in Marseille and Nice, meeting some friends and family!
- I turned 26 and it was okay
- I indirectly learnt that D. found a new girlfriend and it is still not okay

SEPTEMBER
- Moved in my new appartment with Sisi
- Started the permanent contract job
- Got fired after the two "test" weeks of the contract for no decent reason with a rent to pay

OCTOBER
- Italian friends of mine spent a week at my place, it was very nice but it's really small to live as 3 people here
- Went to a work exhibition in Paris and I decided about my (hopefully) new work life

NOVEMBER
- Went to an information meeting about that (hopefully) future new job and it is definitely what I want to do!

DECEMBER
- My 21 years old niece and her boyfriend from Nice spent a long weekend at my place and it is definitely too small to live as 3 people here! lol
- I had my hair cut... a lot! Like I never did since I was a kid, was scared to do it in one time but I just love it now and so do my friends and relatives! New hair cut for new year!
- After 3 months back on job seeking without any response, randomly encountered a wanted ad for a job on Dec. 31, asked about it and did good because now I have a partial contract job as a salesperson in a Kookaï shop, in my new town, 5 min from home by food, the environment, the job and the co-workers are nice and I have time to prepare my (hopefully) new job test selections.

JANUARY
-Spent a long weekend in the south-west of France at my grand-parents' I had not seen for 2 years (medical problems from my grandpa), didn't do much, was kind of bored but watched plenty of movies in the train and at their house and spent a nice time with them! Family counts!
- Began new job a week ago, not much money but have time for HNJ (hopefully new job) preparation and the job is nice.
- Has been living in new suburb "far" from home, new city, new appartment and I like it here!
- Is back on the blogosphere and it feels nice.

Don't need a shrink, I write a blog! mrgreen

23... let's see!...

This weekend was very warm and sunny in France and Paris. I was worried to leave Sisi alone but she seemed okay in her favorite place and I think she didn't move from there the whole afternoon.

On Saturday afternoon, I went for a walk in Paris with a friend (the only guy I met from Meetic, that has always and only been a friend wink), had a drink and rested under the sun.

Yesterday afternoon was... interesting! I met a young man I met on Match. Yes, what is it with this site, it seems all the French potential is gathered there only!biggrin

I received a nice email few days ago, simple, no poetry wink, did not want me to answer him right away as some can ask, I read his profile and there was just a snag, he is 23 and my age range is 26-30, because yes, you know, men are mature later than women in general, blah blah blah. mrgreen

But I liked his profile, he looked nice and... he's a moto rider! So I thought, why not, let's give it a try.

He was in vacation in the South of France last week, so we talked a lot on MSN the whole week and decided to meet yesterday. We had planned to spend the whole afternoon together and as I was waiting for him, I was scared he would not be nice or good looking or boring, who knows. I got there early and D was late (and then we say girls are always late! lol). He sent me at least 3 text messages to tell me he was going to be late, was sorry and would try to make it up.

When he finally arrived, I was surprised because he se
emed taller and older than on his profile pics! (he is 6 feet and I am 5.4). He told me he's going to turn 24 on early June, so we will just have one year difference during 3 months. We had a drink and talked about many things, work, moto (that's nice to have someone to talk about this!), family, etc.

I was surprised to see how easy it was to talk to each other, we had barely known each other for a week and only through Internet.

An hour later, we headed for one of the numerous museums of Paris, I had not been to this one for a very long time and I totally di
scovered it again. It was nice to do that with someone I didn't know but seemed to know quite some things about art. This guy seems to know about and be interested by many various subjects. We stayed till the closure and went and had another drink somewhere.

It was already 7pm and we took the metro back to Paris center where we wo
uld take our respective train back home. I didn't really know what to do and I was, for sure, not going to make the first move!rolleyes wink We exchanged some words about planing something again soon and said each goodbye.

I was in the train and started to write a text message when I received one from him saying "I also had a nice afternoon...". Later, when I was walking home from the station, I received another one, smiled because I felt it came from him, it was saying "I must have been unsettled by you because I took the wrong train". That was kind of funny and it also gave me some more information about his feelings...

In the evening, we talked again on Internet b
efore going to bed and taking care of little Sisi, from my side. Thursday is a bank holiday in France again, May 8th commemorates the end of WW2. But, he has to work so I thought we would only see each other again next weekend but, he had just been aware he had his Monday off, cool!

So, this afternoon we are going to the movies. He suggested the movies and I asked if he was used to go and watch original version movies and he said he was not used to it but was not against it, another good point!
biggrin

I am looking forward to this afternoon to see how it will go and if I'm still having positive feelings about "young boy"! wink

How to Meet(ic) Mr Mystic - Part 2

I went to check my emails on Meetic and Match and one of them caught my attention.

It was short, sweet, well written, seemed sincere and the man on the profile picture also looked nice.
It was saying something like that: "after few months on this Website, I was disappointed and about to cancel my registration but then I found you and you made my day, I'm glad I came through your profile on time and hope to hear from you..."

I answered the day after, we talked on MSN and met the week after for coffee. It went very well, we were both glad and exchanged text messages in the evening. We met the following week for a drink and then he invited me to spent the Sunday afternoon in... Saint-Germain-en-Laye - rings a bell?, what were the chances?... - because he lives near this town. We had a delighted sunny afternoon, hanging around, having a drink on a terrace. He had a dinner in the evening so he drove me back to the train station, as the train was coming and he was already late, we just had the time to exchange few words about seeing each other later when he suddenly leaned towards me and kissed me...

After that, we had a very good month of June, I met some of his friends, spent whole weekends chilling out, had nice moments together and I had to leave for a summer job in early July, for about ten days, in Malta, as a French leader taking care of teenagers during a linguistic trip.

We were both very sad but I would be back soon. I don't know if there is a special air over there, if it was the heat, the fun of the job, the partying I had never done before in my life or meeting bunch of French and Maltese young people but after a few days, I kind of forgot about my boyfriend I had been talking about and was very sad to come back, as other French leaders. Not sad as when you come back from vacation but really sad and wishing so hard I could stay or even leave French to go and live there as I always wanted to move abroad.

When I came back, I gave as an excuse that I was sick, because I felt weird and not able to face my boyfriend yet. I was going to one of my cousin's wedding in the south of France and it let me some time to think about it.

It turns out that we didn't see each other for two months after that. I was still not feeling well, not totally understanding my state myself, I was very depressed because I couldn't find a suitable job and felt useless, I was not happy in my life and needed a way out. I got a ten-day way out but the thing is that it ended too soon and being back to reality was too hard to bear.

I dated nine men in my life (one twice) and if it didn't ended because we had met in holidays or so, I got dumped, taken for a fool and/or cheated on. This is why I have a hard time being confident about a healthy love life and having trust in guys in general.

For the first time, it seemed I had met a very good guy and I let him go, I still don't know why. I happen to think about the reasons I just explained above but I don't know if they are the real reasons...

Was it too perfect that it scared me? Was I too depressed to go on with this nice relationship?
For the first time, I got to be the bitch and no the victim, and it doesn't feel good either, it may be worse.

He and I met again in December for drinks but it wasn't the same, we were just friends.
We met again in January and started dating again... for two weeks.
I think I was just missing being in a relationship but we were not missing each other as lovers, but as friends. The love feelings had gone away. And anyway, something was broken forever. We could not catch up the magic of last June.

I believe in fate and sometimes think that, if this happened, it's just that we were not made to spend more time together. But I hope I'm made to spend some (long) time with someone.

I was so confused, I wanted to stop thinking about dating at all for a while. It's been three months now and I really miss it, being in a couple, especially when all my friends except one are either married/getting married/parents/living with their partner/in a relationship.

I know he has a new girlfriend - we was quite quick on that and it strangely hurt me - but I still have some of my stuff at his I need to go and get. I should do it and move on.

I've been back on Meetic and Match for a little more than a month - my registration was still on so that I would not have to pay to go back there but I had erased all my profile information - but nothing has happened yet. Can't find anybody I would like to meet and who I'm attracted by.

I've been even more difficult in finding a man I like, I don't spend much time on the dating Websites, I use the research stuff once in a while only, I received lots of emails but have not been touched by any of them so far, the whole thing is already annoying me. Let's hope I won't miss the right one, but when?

N.B. dating Websites sometimes bring you nice surprises. I only met one guy from Meetic, last June. We have been getting along well but are not interested in dating each other, so we became friends. We don't see each other a lot because we don't live very close but we have the passion of the moto in common (even if he doens't ride any moto for the moment because of an accident).

How to Meet(ic) Mr Mystic - Part 1

A year ago, April 2007, I finally let my pride and negative opinion aside and decided to join the club of the dating Websites, after a good friend of mine, who has been one of them for a few years now convinced me to at least try.

Let me set the background.

I dated a guy I met at University, from 2003 to 2006. I finally and courageously took the decision to end that relationship that was not making me happy anymore in summer 2006, I had just ended my studies and maybe willing to start fresh.

So after a 8-month single life, I decided it was time to move on and find a nice man who to share (good) moments with. I mean, single life if nice, but you can't live alone, I was beginning to miss the tenderness side (and more...) but also all the nice aspects of a relationship.

As I was not meeting new people at all, I decided to register to two dating Websites : Meetic & Match, as I didn't know how the whole thing worked and there are so many Websites like that now, I wanted to compare them and I was mostly curious than really into the process of virtual meetings.
I was very glad to see that, as a woman, I wouldn't have to pay, I'm not sure I would have let some euros for that stuff.

It was kind of funny to create my profile, harder when it came to the "describe yourself" page! I didn't want to add any picture of me first because I was still, somehow, ashamed of being on this kind of sites but understood later that, most people won't go further unless they can see how you look like, I was the first one to react like that. Aren't we, honestly, first attracted by the physical aspect of a person?! So, it took me a long time to sort "nice looking" pictures of me and then decide which ones I would add to my profile.

At the beginning, I went everyday to check my emails or the "flashes" on Meetic/"winks" on Match I had received.
Sometimes, I had some very LOL moments because, well... there are some pretty not good looking guys on this planet! Some that are really bad at introducing themselves or writing, and some not really smart. Sometimes, according to the main profile pic, you think "hey, not bad!" but then, either the other pictures won't please you at all or digging into the profile categories, you will discover that he smokes (I don't and can't bear cigarette's smoke) or is way too young for you or has a kid (not helping for a new relationship), etc.

I also spent hours using the research engine, you enter different criteria (age, location, details about hair, weight, height, status, kids, salary, occupation, hobbies, interests and more) and will pop up a range of profiles.

I was really eager to meet new people in general so I added many new MSN contacts, it was sometimes difficult to remember who was who, doing what, living where, that I had to make a little list to avoid mistakes! lol

There were some guys I was getting along with well but nothing more and with who I chatted for a few weeks without never going further.
I met 3 guys from Match.

I met the first one for a drink, we chatted, it was nice but I wasn't more interested, we kept on chatting on Internet for a while and I finally ended it up as it was going nowhere.

The second guy is some kind of story. We first met for a drink and got along pretty well, so we decided to meet again the next Sunday and spent the whole afternoon together in Saint Germain-en-Laye I didn't know at that time (West suburb of Paris), the afternoon led to diner back to Paris and he kindly drove me home whereas he was living on the other side of Paris. Nothing happened.

We met the following Tuesday, on May 1st (France Labor day) and spent the afternoon in a park. We met again, the next Saturday for a movie and ended up in a restaurant.
I was getting confused, about my feelings and his. Was he interested in a friendly way or more? And what about me? Had had four nice meetings but nothing more and my friend - the only one that knew about the dating Websites registration - was asking me about what was going on. I finally had a serious (virtual) talk with this guy and he confessed that he liked me very much but had also met another girl through friends of his and liked her too: akward!

He told me he had to make a choice, that he was not comfortable with this situation, so we met again for a movie and dinner but that wasn't like the other times, we both were even more shy. I felt like I was doing a final interview before he would take his decision, so weird. This was Saturday night. On Sunday evening, I received a text message saying something like "I'm sorry, I don't feel we can be together, I chose the other girl...". That was not a fair-play way to say this so I called him and asked for more details, his reasons were like "when we talk, there are so many blanks, we don't get along, we have nothing in common and this girl lives closer to me...". I had heard lots of crap from guys but that one was really good, that was not true at all but he had to find something to say.

I felt terribly betrayed and disappointed and was willing to end that stupid dating Websites stuff right away.

My friend adviced me to forget about him and move one, that there were many better guys out there.

I took a one-week break away from the Websites and that's when guy #3 made his appearance.

What are you doing tonight?

On Friday or Saturday, I'm often asked:

"- What are you doing tonight?

- Nothing, chilling...

- What? You're not going out, partying, having some fun?

- heeuuu, nope"

Yeah, some people have trouble imagining a single girl staying at home, doing nothing special on a weekend evening BUT for the past year (at least),

I've been single (I mean no dating)

+ unemployed (thus broke)

= no money or spirit to partying, nothing interesting to talk about

= spending weekend evenings watching a movie, a series, Internet surfing, taking care of myself,

It's my routine and it's okay for me, even if this seems to be unimaginable for some people. smile

Anyway, I'm gonna have instead a leisure afternoon. I'm going to meet a friend in Paris and have a drink (or more!wink) at the Paradis du Fruit. Eating there is soooooo good! The work-out class this morning at the fitness club wasn't easy, I need a reward! mrgreen

P.S. damn, it's starting to rain just now... can someone tell me why, after a nice week working (or busy...), the weather on the weekend has to be so ugly rolleyes sad

Sunday Chilling Sunday

Have you ever had real chilling days? You go to bed at night full of good intentions and when you wake up on Sunday morning, you just can't get up so you decided to stay a little bit longer in bed and have an hour more resting that finally turns out to be two hours...

When I got up this morning, I felt even more tired and dizzy that if I had gotten up earlier as I usually do.

It was already 11:30am and I had to eat, cannot eat lunch just after so I made myself some ameliorated breakfast, but it didn't made me feel better. I allowed me some more relaxing time, as I thought I was gonna be okay later on but I felt tired and dizzy confused all day long, that was not cool, I didn't manage to do anything I had planned like going to the fitness club in the morning and job applying in the afternoon, that's why I didn't plan to go out, as it was also forecasted to rain.

What can you do on such a lazy day? Watch TV.... watch MTV! I wasn't a fan of this channel 2 years ago but a friend of mine kept talking about it and its crazy show so I started watching it and yes, I also like to watch crap! But sometimes, I do emphasize on sometimes (!), it feels good when you wanna relax, forget your problems or when you're not feeling good to do anything else. I had never stayed on MTV a whole afternoon during the weekend so I didn't know, there were so many shows, you can see

- "Date my Mom" - a guy has a date with 3 girls' moms and then decides which girls he's gonna go out with without meeting them before;

- then there was "Made" about a common very shy High School girl who wanted to become a beauty pageant, then a girl who wanted to take part in a skate competition

- "My Life", today it was about some teenagers who would spend a months in a summer camp to lose weight, after that there was a special "My Life" about teenagers that spent a weekend in detention for small charges;

- "My Sweet Sixteen" today as about another irritating spoiled 16 years old rich girl who organized a huge party for her birthday and got, as usual, a big car. I never get to understand why it is such a tradition to buy 16 years old kids a car, in the US? When I was in the US in 2000, that was something that really shocked me. In France, first you can drive by yourself when you turn 18 but very few people have a car to themselves, we mostly drive our parent's! And that's already a big thing! But I guess, that's just the way it is, even for non-rich families.

- the famous "Dismissed" followed, for the novices, a girl/boy has a date with two opposite sex persons (sometimes homosexual dates) and after that decides who he/she is going to go out with and dismiss the other one. And I have to say that some young people really don't have lots of inhibitions...

- "The Pick Up Artist" led by some guy named Mystery, will teach a group of loosers some tips in flirting, how to behave with women, etc. Each week, one of the guys is eliminated after having "failed" the thematic test.

- Finally, another alien show is "The X Effect", 2 exes spend a weekend together in a resort hotel while each other's partner together will secretly be in near bungalow watching and hearing almost everything. At the end of the weekend, each ex will decided if he/she wants to stay his/her partner... there can be surprises!...

At the end, it was a real wasted day but as not feeling allright, I don't see what I could have done more so, thanks MTV. wink

Now, I'm gonna go to bed soon because I'm still tired...
